The Puzzle - not to be confused with Puzzle Mike

Hello Folks,

Firstly many thanks for all your healthy eating recipes and hints.  Some were “very interesting” to say the leastJ.  One of the hardest things for Allan adjusting the portion amounts.  I am sure this will come with time.

The leg infection along his incision is slowly healing (helped a LOT with the butterfly strips I used to aid in closing the 3 openings that occurred due to the massive swelling.  The leg still gets quite sore so he still has to elevate it quite a bit.  Mobility is getting better and he is getting in at least 1 or 2 hour walks a day.  He gets a bit winded going up hills, but with more walking I am sure that will improve.  We have an appointment with the surgeon this week so will be able to get a better picture on his progress at that time.  Looking back he has made great strides in his recovery but hardest work is the lifestyle change for the future.

I have attached a picture of Allan with a completed puzzle given to him by some friends.  He no sooner finished this puzzle when some other friends (Allan’s not too sure about that though (lol)) gave him a 3-D Wrebbit puzzle of the Pirates of Caribbean ship.  That will definitely keep him busy for some time!!!!

Many thanks for your ongoing support.  Your calls, visits, cards and emails are VERY much appreciated.

Take care…….

Al and Suzan

Mercedes helping out with the puzzle

P.S.  As you will see from the picture of Mercedes, she too loves puzzles.  We have to give her “fake”pieces (i.e. not belonging to the puzzle you are working on) to stop her from stealing the current puzzle.
